Light As Air.

So I have been waiting for the parcel that was containing this product for what seemed like a lifetime! I ordered this product around about a week ago from feel unique in there extended christmas sale, I got it for £20 with the original price of £25 which was quite a decent discount. Feel unique offer a lot of high end products for cheaper prices and they do free UK delivery which is an added bonus.

So moving on to the product itself, it lives up to its name because it literally glides on to your skin, I got the shade light which annoyingly I think is a little bit to dark for me but I really didn't think I would be ultra light but I guess that is the downfall to buying a product online without being able to test it. The packaging is modern and quite eye-catching and I like the pink writing which stands out against the black background, I thought the tube would be alot bigger but when I compared it to a normal foundation bottle it isn't far off. The foundation blends very well in to your skin tone and offers great coverage, at £20 it is quite a splurge but it's not a product I will use everyday and I think for everyday use I will still use my 'olay, touch of foundation' which I did a review for here... http://newfoundlove-s.blogspot.com/2011/11/touch-of-foundation.html

So for a high end product, go get light as air! : )

New York City.

So I have begun my countdown to New York, only 6 weeks to go! Me and my friends are beyond excited we literally cannot contain it, I've been before but I was 16 at the time and I've grown up a lot since then. Were going on a university 'field trip' but its definitely just going to turn in to a shopping mini break, I've been saving up since September and I have quite a bit saved so far so shouldn't need to save much more!

Were definitely going to be doing the generic New York City tourist activities such as Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building and one of those open top bus tours! So so sooooo excited and I will literally be shopping till I drop! If you've never been before its definitely worth saving up for and a week is more than enough there, I had to cut back on what I've bought recently to save money but I will definitely be making up for it when I'm there!

Babyliss Big Hair.

So most of my christmas presents were the generic girly gifts such as perfume, make-up and clothes and not to be left out hair products so this takes me nicely on to the 'Babyliss Big Hair.' I had seen a video about this from youtuber tanya burr or otherwise known as pixi2woo, go check it out she does amazing videos! Anyways I always struggle to blow dry my hair the traditional way so when I saw this product I thought it was right up my street!

The product is essentially a large rotating brush with a hairdryer built in, don't know if I quite sold it there but that really is what it does. I found this product on amazon uk for quite a cheapish price of £30, for an electrical hair product I don't think that's to bad. It takes some getting used to as its obviously the first of its kind and nothing has really been bought out before that is similar, it adds great volume to your hair and gives it the lift that is sometimes hard to get when doing yourself with a hairdryer and brush.

It has quite a fast spin setting and I got my hair tangled a few times when I first started using it but once it becomes familiar it's as easy as riding a bike. I'm thinking about investing in some hot rollers to add volume and curls and I'm scouting around at the moment for a good option, any good reccomendations let me know! With having quite long hair its very versatile and a lot can be done with it and I'm always looking for new options, I fell in love instantly with my curling wand when I first got it and it's still a firm favourite after the good old traditional ghds.

Go get yourself some big hair girls!

Urban Decay - Naked.

So you will no doubt regonise the item above and you have probably seen it in endless blog posts by numerous different people, it was one of my favourite christmas presents this year and I have wanted it for ages but I couldn't bring myself to splurge on it myself. There are 12 different shades and all compliment each other, I'm trying to get used to it at the moment as applying eyeshadow is not one of my fortes and I am slowly learning! I need to invest in some good quality brushes to compliment the quality of these eyeshadows and then I think it will be alot easier to apply.

This palette retails at £35 which is quite costly but when worked out it is nearly £3 per shadow so it's not to bad and definitely worth the splurge! I have seen numerous videos were this product is used and they are definitely worth having a look at before you buy it to see if it suits you as not all products match everybody.

This palette can create a traditional smokey eye or a natural everyday look, with a wide range to offer this is just another reason why it is definitely worth looking in to. The mirror that is built in to the palette is ok when on the go but not great for everyday use but that is just a minor detail. This product is stocked on many beauty websites or its currently in stock on the Debenhams website for UK users, it is currently on sale alongside with the Naked Palette 2.

Go get naked girls! ;)

December Favourites.

So maybe december favourites should have been my first post of 2012 but oh well, I have five favourites this month and all of which I have used over and over again through the course of the month (apart from my vera wang perfume because I only got it for christmas but I instantly fell in love with it!) So here we go....

- Vera Wang, Lovestruck Perfume: LOVED the advert for this perfume when I first saw it mostly because I love leighton meester and Gossip Girl is one of my favourite programmes! I got this for christmas from my sister and it has a very fresh scent but very alluring at the same time.
- vo5 Hot Oil: I think this is my 3rd pack of this since October, you only use it once a week as a deep treatment and leaves your hair feeling amazingggg, it gives you an instant good hair day. I think one packet costs around £4 but don't hold me to that! It's available in shops such as boots and superdrug and is an amazing alternative to deep treatments that are in cream forms.
- Soap and Glory Hand Food: I think this product has been in one of my favourites before, I hate hand creams that leave a lingering greasy feeling and this instantly absorbs. Not much else to say about it apart from that its fab!
-Vaseline: A simple and cheap product for your lips (also good for cracked heels) my lips really suffer with the winter weather and the constant heating in the house that this just provides the lift my lips need!
-Soap and Glory Righteous Butter: A rich creamy body butter, good to put on before you go to bed as it doesn't absorb instantly. If you put it on after shaving your legs it leaves them feeling so silky the day after, I got this product in my soap and glory big splendour splurge along with my hand food : )

Style Crush - Ashley Tisdale

So the Christmas holidays are over (boooo) and I know it's well in to January but I have been so busy with university work and working also that I feel like I have no other time to do anything else. I promise I will try and blog more this year, I want to persevere with it and try and make it in to something I am proud of! So anyone that's the boring information over and done with now on to my very first post of 2012 : )

I have many major style crushes but one person's style that I have followed for a long time is Ashley Tisdale, the collage above only shows snippets of the array of outfits she has worn. Her style can be effortless but she can also bring the glam factor, her simple outfits are what do it for me. Whether its a simple ensemble paired with a really nice scarf or a cute californian girl style outfit she always looks amazing!

I've been scouting around recently for websites that offer cheap simple pieces of clothing and one of which I have shopped on numerous times is ASOS and then a new recent discovery, missguided. Each websites have simple and cheap items and definitely in the price range of a poor student like myself, remember outfits don't have to be made up of ridicuously priced items and don't splurge if you can't afford!

So if Ashley Tisdale's outfit ideas haven't inspired you to suddenly go out shopping I don't know what will!
